multiMAN PS3 Backup Manager

First thing is first; I DON’T CONDONE PIRACY! PERIOD! IF YOU USE THIS TUTORIAL/SOFTWARE YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT PUTTING A KNIFE TO YOUR THROAT OR A GUN TO YOUR HEAD. DO NOT PIRATE! THE ONLY REASON TO USE THIS SOFTWARE IS TO BACKUP YOUR OWN GAMES SO THAT YOU CAN PUT AWAY THE DISC OR TO MAKE YOUR CURRENT GAMES LOAD FASTER.

This does not work if you’re on FW 3.56+

Things you’ll need:
 KMEAW CFW: kmeaw’s 3.55 CFW Patched PUP
MULTIMAN: mmCM ver 04.02.00 FULL (20120228) (278)
A USB STICK w/ 200MB space

• First insert your USB stick in the computer
• Inside the USB stick make a Folder called PS3
• Inside the PS3 Folder make a folder called UPDATE
• Extract kmeawcfw.zip and place the PS3UPDAT.PUP in the UPDATE folder.
• Your USB stick should look like this:  /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
• Now download MULTIMAN and place that on the root of your USB stick (not inside any folders)
• Put USB stick in your PS3.
• Make sure your PS3 is on the OFFICIAL 3.55 FIRMWARE – not a Jailbreak version.
• Go to System Settings and update your PS3 Firmware – Not from internet, instead choose from MEDIA/USB stick.
• Hit Yes to update.
• Once update is complete, PS3 Will boot back up. Once booted, go to the GAME Menu.
• Scroll down to “Install Package Files”
• Click it and select MULTIMAN.
• Once installed, you’ll see MULTIMAN under the Game menu. Just run it like you would a normal game.

How to Backup PS3 Games

First thing you need to do is backup a game. Insert a game into the PS3.
Open Multiman and you’ll see your game listed. Highlight it and hit O. This will start backing up your game.
Games are backed up to dev_hdd0/GAMES folder on your PS3.

How to Play PS3 Backup Games

• Keep a DISC in the PS3 Drive.
• OPEN MULTIMAN
• Highlight the game you want to play and hit X.
• It will tell you Direct Boot is not recommended and that you should return to XMB. Return to XMB screen.
• Once there, select the DISC image (you’ll notice that if you have NBA2k in the Drive but you selected Madden11 from MULTIMAN, it changes the DISC image to Madden11 even though NBA2k is in the drive. Did I lose you? lol)
• If you play a game that asks to update, go ahead and update the game. Most games can be updated no problem. Enjoy!
